GOVERNING COUNCIL

Respect Achievement Integrity Sustainability

The Governing Council is made up of parents who are elected by the school community at the Annual General Meeting. The Principal and two other staff members are also part of the Governing Council.

The Governing Council meet twice a term in weeks 3 and 8.

The Governing Council is responsible to determine the overall vision and priorities of the school. This includes strategic planning and priority setting. Governing Council works in collaboration with the Principal and staff to support best practice in the achievement of agreed school goals.

The Governing Council is also directly responsible for the administration of the school canteen.

A number of sub-committees are established to support the work of Governing Council. They include:

  • Sports
  • Fundraising
  • Events
  • Performing Arts
  • Uniform
  • Volunteers
  • Finance
  • Canteen

These committees are responsible to the Governing Council and have a direct role in the development, implementation, and administration of key policies.

Membership of these committees comprises of members of the Governing Council along with interested parents and members of the staff as appropriate.
