Volunteers

Respect Achievement Integrity Sustainability

The opportunities are always there for volunteers, to help around our school and the Campus, and your help is always appreciated regardless of how much time you give – even an hour a week.  You may have talents that can benefit the children, or just have an interest that you can put to use.  For instance, I love reading and encouraging children to read more, so my perfect job is in the Campus Library where I assist with re-shelving, covering books, tidying and sorting the shelves, and sometimes helping the children find a book.

Volunteering is a great way to contribute to your child’s school and the children just love seeing their parents or grandparents around the campus.  It’s a wonderful outlet, a good way to meet people, to get to know the staff and students and you really get something out of it.

All volunteers to the school require a Working with Children Check prior to working/volunteering in a child-related area. Please follow this link to undergo your screening check if you have not already done so. Please allow adequate processing time for this to be completed. Once completed, the verification certificate is required by the school prior to commencing any volunteering.

Thiele Fundraising

Our Fundraising Committee hold a number of events throughout the year such as Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Stalls, a Christmas and Easter raffle to name just a few.  The fundraising committee are always looking for additional members, even if you can only help out to set up stalls a couple of times a year it would be very much appreciated.

The proceeds from fundraising goes towards subsiding graduation, swimming and aquatics programs. We are very fortunate that our fundraising committee also supports school projects such as the upgrading of IT equipment and supporting swimming and aquatics programs.

Thiele Events

The Thiele Events Committee support a growing number of events across the school e.g. school discos and the New Receptions Parents’ Morning Tea.  Building links within our school community is the focus of the Events Committee and they welcome new members on board.
